~ Smitten ~

Well I'm off on a night shift tonight so thought I would share this layout with you which always makes me smile!

The photo is from my friend's wedding last year where I was a bridesmaid. It does make me laugh because my fiancé has worn the same shirt to the last 2/3 weddings we have been to as its his favourite. I did like how it matched my flowers though.

I've not really scrapped may photos from the wedding, think this is only the second one. The February Like For Ever kit was perfect to use with this photo. I just added a few thickers, washi and stamp from my stash.

It was rather fiddly trying to back the wood veneer heart with different pieces of patterned paper. Not really sure where the idea for this layout came from I think I just sat with lots of pretty patterned paper in front of me.

~ A long engagement ~

So we got engaged in October 2013 and I can't believe it was so long ago. We still haven't got married or even set a date as neither of us can decide on the type of wedding we want and don't feel in any rush to at the moment. I was shocked when I realised I hadn't scrapped this photo of us as it is one of my favourites from the trip. After he proposed we went ring shopping but he wouldn't give it to me until the right time. This happened to be a cute bistro come wine cellar in Bergamo, Italy.

I really seem to have found my style recently and it involves lots of layers! Whether it be die cuts, patterned papers or stickers I just can't get enough. 

This was the last full piece of paper I had from the Maggie Holmes 'confetti' collection I had left and I love it. I've gone mad for layering all the die cuts. My journal,long is hidden on the tag inside the pocket as it's quite a personal page. I absolutely love all the colours in this collection.

Why is it that your mojo hits when you really should be doing something else?! Note to self - do your essay!

~ Enjoying looking back at layouts ~

 Good evening, I'm having a lovely time on my week off from work so far. It is so nice not having to do anything inparticular. Today I caught up with a friend for lunch and we did some guiding planning. I realised that I haven't shared much of the scrapbooking I did whilst at GoGoGetaway or anything since. So I'm going to try and post a few layouts each day.

 

This layout is a favourite photo of mine from my Cousin's wedding last year. I think I've scrapped it twice now. The other version is a black and white photo. It is a photo of me and my Cousins. I really like the chalkboard trend at the moment and love how it makes this layout really bold.

 

I'm on a mission to try and use up as much of my stash as possible and not buy too much new stuff.

 

This is a couple of photos from 2013 when mum and I went strawberry picking. I have had the strawberry patterned paper for ages and new it would be perfect for these photos.

 

These layouts were created using sketches at the March 2015 Gogogetaway.

~ Gogogetaway Saturday Morning Round up ~

Good Afternoon. It's been non-stop here at Gogo Getaway, Lots of fabulous layouts created so far. Here is what I've done so far today:

Class no.2

'First edition'

This is an absolutely gorgeous altered book. It was a little fiddly in places but think the effect is amazing!

The indentation is made using foam board which we cut to fit inside the book once 190 pages were removed. It was then covered in those pages pulled out to ensure it flowed.

I chose to scrap my Graduation as the brief was to bring photos of something memorable. I think I might create some more of these for wedding gifts.

This layout is for the Sketch challenge using at least one piece of MME 'Miss Caroline' Collection. The photo is of my kitten Oscar on his first day in our house. I can't believe how little he was!

Class no. 3

'Paperie Patchwork'

This class used lots of stickers by 'The Girls Paperie' and faux stitching to create a patchwork quilt effect. The flower was made by sewing along a piece lace and ruching it up. The photo is of my grandad who I didn't really know as he died when I was a baby. I absolutely love this layout and still have lots of stash left.

~ Wedding Mini book ~

Its finally finished! The Wedding Minibook is finally done! It has been delivered this morning to their house ready for them returning from honeymoon tomorrow.

All the papers used are Kaisercraft and the colour theme throughout the book is cream, brown and aqua/teal. I am really pleased with how well this book turned out and I hope the couple like it.

My apologies about some of the photos as it was very sunny yesterday and I was on a tight schedule.

The couple got married at some chambered cairns up in Scotland. It appears to have been an unusual but very interesting wedding.

The stamps used were bought from the Rubbernecker Stamp company at Alexandra Palace Stamp and scrapbooking show last April.

Arriving in style! On horseback! I never thought I would see this happen.

I copied a few quotes from online to add to the photos as I have no journalling to use.

I also added a page where they can write the guest list on to remind them of the people who attended.
