~ Simplicity! ~

Well this is quite a simple card. The stamp is from Little Claire and is coloured using promarkers. I absolutely love all my stamps from Little Claire, they stamp fantastically and always come out really nice. You'll see lots more from Little Claire when I startmaking my christmas cards.

Yesterday I hoped to get some time to do a little crafting and I must say that I did manage to sneak in an hour or so. I altered a notebook to use for my Whisky Trail which I'm going on Bank Holiday Weekend. I'll show and tell closer to the time.

Today we are praying for the sun to keep shining as we are BBQing for approx 20 of my fella's work mates. Unfortunately he has left this job for a more senior post so its a house warming/ leaving BBQ.

~ Altered Clock ~

This altered clock now adorns the wall above my desk in the craft room. I had completely forgot I had bought this Kaisercraft Beyond the page clock kit at a show. It was unearthed during my house move so I used up an old Cleo Crafts kit containing 'Flights of Fancy' papers.

I firstly painted the base with white acrylic paint (I gave it 2 coats). Then I marked the base with the spaces in the frame and covered them with patterned paper. I added some butterflys, buttons and ribbon. I also made a couple of paper roses and attached them. Finally I added some brown Prima Numbers left from an alphabet used at the Gogogetaway last March.

Today has so far not seen any crafting but I'm wondering if I might sneak an hour shortly depending on how the kittens behave.

~ Home decor ~

This is a frame I bought from Next and made my own. It currently sits on the wall in my lounge.

To make the pieces of artwork I used distress inks to colour the edges of the card, then stamped the verse in the centre. I made a mask of the verse then stamped images aound the verse overlapping them using different coloured inks. Then remove the mask to reveal the untouched verse.

These were simply made by colouring the edges with distress inks then stamping a Tim Holtz stamp in peeled paint distress ink down one side then attaching a pendant on the other. Bakers twine then used to decorate.

Kitten update: Today Oscar and Millie went for their first vaccinations. They were very brave.

Unfortunately today has not held any crafting time for me and I'm not sure tomorrow will either. I'm desperate to play with my Scrapagogo kits that have sat unused for the last few months.

~ It's been a long time! ~

Well what can I say... since moving house, despite having my own fully set up craft room my mojo has been very absent! I'm hoping to regain it now these bundles of joy have arrived.

This is Oscar and Millie oour new 10 week old kittens. They are so energetic and currently provide endless hours of entertainment. Hopefully there will be lots of photos for scrapping in the near future.

Maybe I'll manage to fit some scrapping in during their afternoon naps (just like babies they need a sleep post playtime!).

I have managed to produce a few pieces of art/scrapbooking to use as decoration in our new home so over the next few days I will try to share them with you.
