~ A creative obstacle ~

Well I can't get on for trying...I have recently had plenty of time to do some crafting since I have taken some holiday before my operation, however there seems to be a big obstacle which seems to appear every time I get comfortable in my craft room...

This is my 16 week old kitten Oscar. He likes to sit on my knee whilst I'm trying to craft. But by doing this I can't get my knees under the desk. I almost squashed him the other day when he crept up and laid behind me on the chair.
What obstacles do you have to your crafting?

~ WOYWW ~

Continuing on a Christmas theme, here you can see the basic parts of my new Kaisercraft Beyond the page Advent Calendar. I was amazed at the speed it was delivered from Merly Impressions. I ordered it late afternoon and then it arrived the next morning.
I'm just waiting for some patterned paper ready to decorate this advent calendar. I have ordered some MME 'Lost and Found Christmas' collection. I saw it at my local craft shop and resisited then decided I needed it.

~ Feeling a little festive ~

Yes you read it correctly, I'm starting my christmas preparations. I'm hoping to make some homemade christmas gifts and decorations so will keep you up to date as much as possible.

I have got lots of Elizabeth Shaw mints ready for my christmas visitors so I'm starting to decorate them. If you remember last year I did a little tutorial here on how to make these simple christmas favours. They could be adapted to any occasion, I've seen them used for Halloween also.

Off to hospital today for my pre-op assessment. Then hopefully a little more crafting this afternoon.

~ And still they keep coming! ~

As I mentioned before I have a few kits left from the last Gogo Getaway so I have been working my way through some of them to clear a back log of stash which is piling up in my craft room.

This class was titled S.W.A.L.K. I really enjoyed making this layout as it was great to see how some simple templates can add shape to plain paper. This layout documents the evening my Boyfriend and I went out last year for our 8 year anniversary. I love the glittery flag style letters from the 'Lost and Found' range.

Hopefully I'll be home soon so might squeeze a little crafting time in whilst my Boyfriend plays football.

~ More from GoGo Getaway ~

Hi all ... it seems like such a long time ago that I went to Scrapagogo's March Getaway but I still have a few of the class kits left over. So when I went to Mum's for a craft day I took a few with me.

This is a class called 'Mirror, Mirror' which I was fortunate enough to get a spare kit for. The photo is from some professional photos I had taken last year I think. It was quite a simple and straight forward page which was great for while we were chatting away.

As you read this I'll be heading to Centre Parcs Sherwood Forest for a weekend away. I hope you all enjoy a little 'you' time and manage to fit in some crafting.

~ I can't believe it's that time of year again! ~

I really am not sure where this year has gone! It doesn't seem two minutes since Shimelle was running her 'Learn Something New in September' class last year. I decided not to join in this year as I never get round to finishing. I start off really enthusiastic but seem to run out of time for it.

Well here is what I've been up to today!

This cute little card kit arrived in the post today from Little Claire and I just had to do it straight away. Lets hope all my Christmas cards are made in plenty of time for Christmas. I've just re-subscribed to Little Claire's monthly stamp club as I was missing my little stamping fix! I love how easy to use and versatile the stamps are, never mind the value for money (which is excellent!). Expect a lot more Little Claire stamped cards from me in the future.

I'm away this weekend for a girlie work trip to centre parcs so it's unlikely any crafting will get done. Should be lots of fun!
