~ Forever Friends card ~

Well it has been quite a busy start to the week as I have been working. Thankfully I have a couple of days off now. Today I'm having mum and her friend round for a crafty day. We are going to decorate a nest of Papermania Bare Basics boxes. I'll show them later in the week.

This card was inspired by those created at the Stampin' Up class I went to a few weeks ago. I used Vintage Vogue stamp set and scraps of patterned paper to create this card.

~ Time for tea ~

Well this card was meant to be posted during last week but unfortunately life got in the way as is often the case. So here it is a little later than planned ...

My friend and I completed our Queen's Guide Award in September and held an Afternoon Tea for our local presentation. The Queen's Guide Award is the highest award in Girlguiding UK which you can choose to work towards. There are others for which you must be nominated for your service to guiding. The award takes approximately 3 years and consisits of 5 sections. The trick is the organisation and ensuring that you push yourself.

The above card was made as a Thank you to the person who mentored me throughout the course of the award.

I used a free stamp from Craft Stamper magazine and used one of their samples as inspiration for the card. I'm really pleased with how it turned out. I used scraps of patterned paper so unsure of the manufacturers.

~ Stampin' Up Card Club - Feb ~

As I mentioned earlier in the week, on Sunday I went to my first ever Stampin' Up Card Club held by demonstrator Monica Gale. Below are the 3 projects we completed.

I absolutely love the colours she has chosen to create these items.

This box is actually made using the Stampin' Up Milk carton die. It's amazing what people can do with dies.

This is my favourite of the 2 cards I just love the cute little butterflies. I feel another purchase brewing! Oops!

I love how simple the cards are and how easy they were to make. But they look so elegant. I'm already looking forward to the next one.

~ Love is in the air! ~

Happy Valentine's Day to all you hopeless romantics!

This 8x8 minibook has been sat in my craft room unfinished for years. The kit is one I bought from a craft show and the papers are from Rusty Pickle who sadly no longer manufacture scrapbooking supplies.

The minibook contains lots of photos of myself and my boyfriend spanning the years we have been together.

I gave my boyfriend this for his birthday as we don't celebrate Valentine's Day. It's very commerical and as it's his birthday on the 9th Feb we celebrate that instead.

I added pieces of red and white washi tape throughout the minibook to create continuity.

~ Happy Birthday to you! ~

Crikey, hasn't it been cold!!! I'm not impressed with having to scrape ice off my car every morning. Hope you are all hibernating in your craft rooms.

This card was made for my boyfriends birthday. I really struggle to make male cards but really like Papermania's Urban stamp collection. I stamped them using blue distress inks of various shades. To make the main feature I inked a piece of card and then stamped over it with archival ink. To finish it off and add abit of glitz I sprayed the card with glimmer mists.

Today I went to a Stampin' Up Card class which I absolutely loved. I'll share what we made later in the week.

~ Little Claire Stamp Club - February ~

Good Morning from a frosty white South Yorkshire...

Here I bring you Little Claire's February Stamp club kit. I absolutely love this little cute stamp set.

The meadow patterned paper adds a lovely touch to the stamped images. The images were stamped with memento ink then coloured using promarkers.

I hope you don't end up with too much snow this evening and you all get plenty of crafting done.

~ A friendly meal ~

Just a quick post before I head off to work for the late shift.

This scrapbook page was made using a Scrapagogo kit from last year.

The photos are from a meal out with friends when we visited them up in Middlesborough.
