Happy Monday, hope its not too much of a drag although the weather here in the UK isn't great at the moment. Very cloudy and rain showers.
It was absolutely fantastic to see so much inspiration on social media for National Scrapbooking Day (NSD). So much so that many online groups had challenges across the whole weekend. I chose 3 groups to play along with and I am so grateful for the time and effort they put in to organising them. I chose to do challenges from the 'For the love of pretty paper', 'Hey Little Magpie' and the 'Hip Kit Club' groups on Facebook. UK Scrap Addicts also participated and held a few challenges online.
This layout using the free cut file available on the UK Scrap Addicts blog started life many many weeks ago when I decided to stick the Mandala cut file designed by Polly's Papercraft. I did not anticipate how long it would take to do and eventually finished it just in time to use for NSD.
I still need to add a little journaling to this page as it documents the spa I went to whilst we were in Sri Lanka. I used a mix of Maggie Holmes and Paige Evans collections for this page.
This layout was for the 'circles' challenge over on Hey Little Magpie. I painted and ink splattered a circle just slightly bigger than the cut file. This was one of those layouts that I really wasn't sure about until it was finished. I used a mix of Maggie Holmes collections and the title is from Heidi Swapp.
I've had these Cocoa Vanilla Studio 'Endless Summer' papers for quite a while and loved them so much that I didn't want to use them. However we used them at the March GoGo Getaway and I vowed then that I would start to use them. I love the pastel colour palate.
I used Jackie's Sketch challenge as my inspiration for this layout and it makes a change to have a 'normal' holiday photo to use as its not often our holidays include swimming pools and beaches.
I'll be back later in the week to show you some more layouts I managed to get done for NSD.
Happy Crafting!
Terri
