Be Inspired... | GoGo Getaway Nov 2017

I'm up today on the GoGo Getaway blog today with my Be Inspired.. challenge from the recent GoGo Getaway in Haydock. Head over to the blog to see what I challenged all the delegates to do.

Here are a couple of layouts I created for some of the other Design Team Girls' challenges.

I'm not usually one for double layouts but I really enjoyed creating these.

Wander around Town | Jen Hadfield

I'm back on this cold Monday morning with a double page which is unusual for me. I have recently been creating more double pages, especially to incorporate more photos in to my travel albums.

Dubrovnik Old Town has the most stunning little alley ways and scenery to explore. I took far too many photos and couldn't choose. This is a good 'go to' design for an easy double page, thanks to Shimelle's classes.

When creating double pages I like to add embellishments that cross over both pages. As you can see the bike crosses at the bottom of the page.

I've used lots of ephemera to create clusters in four areas on the layout. Again I've used a mix of three different alphas including the lovely script word from Shimelle Go Now Go collection.

Smile in the Rain | Shimelle Glitter Girl

I started to create this layout way back in September. I created a base background but then couldn't decide how I wanted the layout to look. Finally I managed to get it done and I'm so happy with the results.

Its a very busy layout which doesn't have a huge amount of 'white' space. It is unusual for me to go with a background that isn't white or a patterned paper but I love how the black looks especially with the mist splatters in the top left and bottom right corners.

This cute smile Perspextive from Bramble Fox is perfect for the title I wanted to create. I'm really enjoying using a variety of different alphas on one longer title at the moment.

There are lots of squares in the Glitter Girl collection and I found it very boxy to use. I added a few nuvo drops to the splatters to add more texture and some brighter pops of colour along with the metallic Heidi Shine mist.

~ One cut file 3 ways | Pretty My Page ~

A while ago I was sent this lovely Autumnal Wreath cut file from Pretty My Page to use. I decided to have a go at using one single cut file on more than one page to show how they can be used.

I used the leftovers from the cut file to create the background for this page. The white card with a watercolour green paper gave a great starting point. I added in fussy cut florals and some punched out foliage as embellishment.

For this layout I placed the wreath cut file on top of a white piece of card and used mists to create a shadow effect once the wreath was removed.

Finally, I used the actual wreath as the focal point for the page. By this point I was a little over the whole circular layout so chose to cut the wreath in half and stick it down on opposite sides. The large metallic leaf elements have been in my stash for years and originally belonged to a necklace from Primark.

I loved using this versatile cut file from Pretty My Page
and I can't wait to see what other files she designs.
