Hello Girls | GoGo Getaway DT

Hi everyone, It seems like summer is finally here in the UK. I'm loving the warm weather but not looking forward to the upcoming night shifts. Today I'm up on the GoGo Getaway blog with this layout using Paper Artsy 'Infusions' to create a background.

I'm using up the final bits of my Shimelle 'Glitter Girl' collection before all the new collections hit the shops in the upcoming months.

I've added a load of white machine stitching thanks to Niki Rowland giving me the confidence to get my sewing machine out and add detail to my pages.

I love this photo of my crafty friends Sarah and Chloe from a retreat in June. This was a lovely relaxed weekend.

GoGo Getaway 10th Anniversary Retreat

The last weekend in June was the GoGo Getaway 10th Anniversary Retreat at Theobalds Park, Hertfordshire, UK. We had the amazing Shimelle there as Guest Designer, which was fantastic as she had been at the first getaway 10 years ago.

GoGo Getaway always has the cutest table gifts and this time we each got the fantastic 'Shimelle' scissors which just happen to match the colour scheme for GoGo. Plus that little 'box of crayons' is full of sweets. 

Niki made this gorgeous blue ombre cake, even the sponges inside were ombre! We shared it with all the delegates on the Saturday night and it was delicious.

We decorated the crop room with helium filled balloons on each table.

Shimelle was there for almost the whole weekend and she was so lovely. Happy to have photos taken and even brought her own little props to use.

We had so much fun taking photos outside with the giant deck chair and the great GoGo Getaway Instagram frame.

I love being part of this Design Team. The girls are all fantastic and its great to spend time with them all. They are a very inspiring bunch of ladies.

Also the were five of us at the weekend from the UK Scrap Addicts Creative Team. It was great to finally meet up with ladies who I had only ever communicated with online. 

I'll be back later in the month to show all the layouts I created for the challenges and classes for this weekend.

Scrapfam Retreat | The Woodlands @ Hothorpe Hall

The first weekend in June I spent at a beautiful countryside hotel in the Midlands, UK. A group of 21 of us met for 2 nights/3 days to enjoy s relaxed weekend of crafting. There was not formal schedule to the weekend it was a case of do what you want when you want.

It's such a stunning venue. The dining room/bar/crop room is in this building and then all the bedrooms are separate in a semi circle round the front of the building.

There were 21 of us on the weekend, most of whom I had met on previous weekends before. Rubina organised the weekend and has decided to do one every year.

The beautiful wooded area has lots of slate plates with quotes dotted around the grounds. Some of the quotes are religious but many are from well known figures.

The weather really made the weekend. It was warm and gloriously sunny so it was great to be able to sit outside.

It was great to meet up with friends.

Had a great time this weekend, it was nice to get away from home.

Delightful Day | UK Scrap Addicts

Hey there, I'm up on the UK Scrap Addicts Blog today with a layout using just one 6x4 photo.

I've been sorting my craft room out and I'm desperately trying to use up some of the stash I've accumulated (so I can purchase more!)

This layout is a little different for something I would normally do because I've used a very bold patterned background.
