What a fantastic weekend I have had down at Theobalds Park with the rest of the GoGo Getaway Design Team. We were taught a lovely class by Lorraine, talked about exciting plans for the getaways and scrapped to our hearts content!
This class is based on the one Lorraine taught at the GoGo Getaway in October 2016 and features a hand made dreamcatcher as its technique focus. We then had a photo taken outside of the Design Team to add to the page.
The class was so well thought out as the small embellishments on the dreamcatcher were chosen as they specifically relate to the team.
Heart = love of scrapbooking, Scissor = scrapbooking, Arrow = GoGo Getaway.
Such a fun weekend that was fuelled by some fabulous cakes made by Niki and provided by the hotel. The yummy Crème Egg Cupcake was rather sickly but delicious.
Now I'm looking forward to March's GoGo Getaway and seeing all the delegates.
Wow, where is 2017 going!!! Seems like only yesterday that we were celebrating New Year. 2017 was destined to be an awesome year as I have a big birthday and we have lots of travel plans. However, I've found out I need more surgery so everything feels a bit up in limbo now.
But that doesn't stop me scrapping so here is my 2017 title page using 'Hazelwood' from 1Canoe2 with American Crafts.
There are lots of exciting scrapbooking related things happening though. I'm looking forward to teaching at GoGo Getaway Scrapbooking Retreats and trying to post more on my blog and Instagram.
I had an absolutely lovely day last week. I procrastinated and did very little housework just a couple of loads of laundry. I stayed in my pyjamas and spent the day in my craft room playing with paper and watching back to back episodes of Silent Witness.
I used the Like For Ever 'Woodland' kit to create this layout. The general concept began with one of the sketches created by DT member Laura Rumble.
It started with me fussy cutting a lot of butterflies out from one of the patterned paper from the 1canoe2 'Hazelwood' collection. I used foam dots to try and create dimension. Feeling a little more creative I used gold texture paste and some mists on the background.
This layout documents the enjoyment I had on holiday in Latvia when I found a liking for Singapore Sling cocktails. I had expensive taste whilst my fiancé was drinking cheap draught beer.
I'm so excited for this weekend! Tonight I'm heading down south ready for a weekend together with my lovely GoGo Getaway DT. It will be the first time we have all got together and I'm looking forward to meeting everyone in person.
A few weeks ago now before my holiday I was playing with the lovely December Like For Ever kit. Totally still in love with Crate Paper 'Snow and Cocoa' collection.
How cute is this little fellow?!
I'm pretty sure this was a free cut file I picked up during the festive period but have no idea now where it came from. December in Britain has been quite mild and wet with very little snow so I had to adapt some of the very snow orientated ephemera in the collection. Most of the snow themed pieces are layered behind other pieces.
Every year at Christmas we head out in to the Peak District National Park and visit the village of Castleton to see the lovely scenery and enjoy a cup of hot chocolate. Yum!
Here's hoping you have a great crafty weekend too.
Well what a treat I have for you today. My fellow DT member Sarah has just set February's Be Inspired ... challenge over on the GoGo Getaway Blog. Head over to find out how to be in with a chance to win a fantastic prize, then join us on Facebook to chat and share your entry.
I absolutely loved playing along this month even if I didn't use all the parts of the recipe.
